Paints. Check your paints to make sure they are fluid. Get a wooden coffee stirrer (steal some from a coffee shop :-)) and stir your paints down to the bottom of the pot. I turn my canvas upside down, spray a little water on the back then steam iron it – that works for me.

This means you won’t be dragging your arm across wet paint. Some people start with dark colors, others with light colors. I suggest starting with the smallest cells first.
